This is a Prison, Not a Playground
If time could fly backwards and be like a humming bird
We could be like this forever, and not even have to say one word
And I’ve wished us so far from anywhere our voices can be heard
There’s one thing that’s for sure. This dreams are just the sentence that I serve.
I once said that I would follow,
But now I see that’s not what’s best
I’m trapped and your words let me think
In the end I’ll begin to tunnel my way out
All I ask is that you help me
And what I need is you to give me the key
We’re all alone in this, but we’re still in this together
The only sounds- hearts beating and our breathing as the gate locks me up forever
I once said that I would follow,
But now I see that’s not what’s best
I’m trapped and your words let me think
In the end I’ll begin to tunnel my way out
All I ask is that you help me
And what I need is you to give me the key
These playground bars we used to swing on
Have now become what keep me here
Confined by all my own emotions
Not strong enough to leave I fear
I once said that I would follow,
But now I see that’s not what’s best
I’m trapped and your words let me think
In the end I’ll begin to tunnel my way out
All I ask is that you help me
And what I need is you to give me the key
